Naya Williams (Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairoa)
Naya is completing a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology at the University of Auckland.
She is passionate about Māori mental health and exploring how mental health services can better support the needs of Māori tangata whaiora, their whānau, and a Māori worldview.
Naya has joined the SSWT research team as she is completing Kaupapa Māori research as part of her degree to discover how we can better support Māori who self-refer with sexual interests in children.
Her hope is that through listening to whakaaro from Māori, we can improve future service delivery.
